まず基本工作を進めます。

飛行状態で制作しますが、パイロットが付属していません。この時期のパイロットフィギュアというのは意外にないのですが、概ね近いだろうという事でハセガワの1/72 F9F　パンサーから持ってきました。

X-1A／X-１Dは時期によって細部がちょっとづつ違うのですが、主翼端には大型のプローブと思われる棒がついている時期としました。

First, proceed with the basic work.

I make it in flight, but it doesn’t come with a pilot. The pilot figure of this time is not surprising, but I brought it from Hasegawa’s 1/72 F9F Panther because it will be close.

The details of the X-1A / X-1D differ slightly depending on the time, but I decided to use the time when a rod that seems to be a large probe was attached to the tip of the main wing.

この小さな突起を削り取って、長い棒状のものを取り付けます。長い棒状のものは、プラパーツも入っていますが、金属線に交換します

Scrape off this small protrusion and attach a long rod. The long rod-shaped one contains plastic parts, but replace it with a metal wire.

艦船模型の砲身の開口に使えるというリプライもありましたが、この手の金属線変換にも使えます

There was a reply that it could be used for the opening of the barrel of a ship model, but it can also be used for this kind of metal wire conversion.

当たり前ですが、円柱側が真円ではなく楕円（上下方向にちょっとだけ短い）だとちょっとずれますよね(笑)。それでも、センターにケガキ針でガイドを打って、徐々にドリル径を上げていくよりははるかに楽。そもそもこの時期のスペシャルホビーのキットを題材に選んじゃいけませんわな。すいません。

Obviously, if the cylinder side is an ellipse (slightly shorter in the vertical direction) instead of a perfect circle, it will shift a little (laughs). Still, it’s much easier than hitting a guide with a scribing needle in the center and gradually increasing the drill diameter. In the first place, you shouldn’t choose a special hobby kit from this period as a subject.
