実艦解説
第二次大戦にアメリカ海軍が建造した大型駆逐艦フレッチャー級の最終発展形で、21世紀になっても使われ続けました。
It was the final development of the Fletcher-class destroyer, a large destroyer built by the US Navy during World War II, and continued to be used even in the 21st century.
キット解説
主砲砲塔などにスライド金型を使用していたり、小型のエッチングパーツが入っていたりと意欲的なキットです。モールドはかなり強めのメリハリで、ピットロードの正常進化という印象です。
It is an ambitious kit that uses a slide mold for the main turret and contains small etched parts. The mold is quite strong and sharp, giving the impression that the pit road has evolved normally.
製作
塗装指示が側面色で三色以上なのですが、二色迷彩だと思われるので実艦写真を参考に塗装しました。
キット付属のエッチングパーツ以外では、爆雷軌条関係とレーダー関係、それに手すりとフェアリーダーに汎用のエッチングパーツを使用しました。機銃はキットのままです。
The painting instructions are three or more colors on the side, but it seems to be a two-color camouflage, so I painted it with reference to the actual ship photograph.
Other than the etching parts included in the kit, I used general-purpose etching parts for the depth charge rail and radar, as well as the handrail and fair leader. The machine gun remains a kit.
