このキットの難所の一つ、前部艦橋＆マスト、後部探照灯台を組み立てました。
I assembled one of the difficulties of this kit, the front bridge & mast, and the rear searchlight.
マストがなぜ難所といいますと、三脚マストの後ろ二本の基部は船体側に穴がなく、現物合わせになることです。さらに各フラットの水平を出すのも難しいからです。
後部探照灯台は曲がりやすいうえに、折り曲げ部分のハーフエッチングがそれほどへこんでいないエッチングのトラス構造だからです。
The reason why the mast is difficult is that the two bases behind the tripod mast have no holes on the hull side and fit on the spot. Furthermore, it is difficult to make each flat horizontal.
This is because the rear searchlight pedestal is easy to bend and has an etching truss structure where the half etching of the bent part is not so dented.
マストの構造は説明書のイラストでは理解できなかったので、説明書最後の図面や実艦画像を見て判断しました。
The structure of the mast could not be understood from the illustrations in the manual, so I decided by looking at the drawings at the end of the manual and the actual ship image.
