実車解説
ファイアフライはレンドリース法によってイギリスに供与されたM4シャーマンにイギリスの17ポンド対戦車砲を搭載したものです。本来17ポンド砲搭載戦車はクロムウェル／セントーをベースにしたチャレンジャーが開発されていたのですが、保険として開発されていたのがこのファイアフライです。結果的にチャレンジャーの性能はファイアフライに及ばず、チャレンジャーは200両が生産されただけとなりました。
17ポンド砲はそれまで西側戦線で歯が立たなかったドイツのタイガーとパンターの正面装甲を貫徹できる対戦車砲で、ファイアフライは、実戦に間に合った戦車としては、このドイツの猛獣（タイガーとパンター）を狩る事ができる西側戦線ほぼ唯一の戦車です。ドイツ戦車隊のエース、ミハエル・ヴィットマンのタイガーを撃破したのもファイアフライだとする説が有力です（タイフーンの航空攻撃とする説もあるようです）ただし、ファイアフライは絶大な火力を持っていますが、防御力はシャーマンと変わらないので、ヤークトパンターのような「駆逐戦車」では無かったようです。

There is a strong theory that it was the Firefly that defeated German tank ace Michael Wittmann’s Tiger (some say it was Typhoon’s air attack). However, since the defense power is the same as the Sherman, it seems that it was not a “tank destroyer” like the Jagdpanther.
製作・塗装
主砲はパッションモデルズの金属砲身を使用しました。
塗装はサーフェイサー→ベースグレーを下地に行いました。
タスカの説明書ではMrカラー70番のダークグリーンが指定されているのですが、このMrカラー70番はつや消しで、デカールやウォッシングの工程を考えると不利なので、近似色のMrカラー320番を使用しました。このMrカラー320番にホワイトを足して明度を調整したものでグラデーション塗装しています。足回りはダークアースです。
OVM類はブロンズグリーンの可能性がありますが、模型的な見栄えを考え塗り分けました。
ブラック＋ジャーマングレーでウォッシング後にデカールを貼りました。その後 ガイアノーツのつや消しクリアー→タミヤのウェザリングマスターなどでウェザリングです。

Painting was done with surfacer → base gray as the base.
Tasca’s instruction manual specifies Mr Color 70 dark green, but this Mr Color 70 is matte and is disadvantageous in terms of the decal and washing process, so I used Mr Color 320, which is a similar color. Did. White is added to this Mr Color No. 320 to adjust the brightness, and the gradation is applied. The undercarriage is dark earth.
There is a possibility that the OVMs are bronze green, but I painted them separately considering the appearance of the model.
I pasted the decals after washing with black + German gray. After that, Gaianotes matte clear → weathering with Tamiya’s weathering master.
