実船解説
タイタニックは映画にもなった豪華客船です。オリンピック級客船の２番船で、当時世界最大の客船でした。 全長は大和やビスマルク以上でアイオワとほぼ同じです。更に上背が結構あるので1/700とはいえ、かなりの大きさです。
Titanic is a luxury liner that has become a movie. She was the second Olympic-class passenger ship and the largest passenger ship in the world at the time. She has a total length of more than Yamato and Bismarck and is almost the same as Iowa. She’s also quite tall, so even though it’s 1/700, it’s quite big.
キット紹介
キットはアカデミーのものです。ある程度の色分けと一部スナップフィットが採用されたキットで、煙突下部の一発抜きなど一体成型部分が多く、作りやすいキットです。タイタニックのプラモデルとしては比較的新しく、舷側のモールドもかなり繊細な印象です。
The kit is from the academy. It is a kit that adopts some color coding and some snap fits, and it is easy to make because there are many integrally molded parts such as one-shot removal at the bottom of the chimney. It is relatively new as a Titanic plastic model, and the mold on the side is also quite delicate.
制作
今回はこのアカデミーのキットにレインボーモデルのエッチングパーツを使用しました。レインボーモデルのタイタニックのエッチングは究極に細かいもので、アカデミーのタイタニックのプラモデルの設計思想とは逆とも言える内容です。ただし、「これは組めない」という箇所は無かったです。
This time, I used the etched parts of the rainbow model for this academy kit. The etching of the rainbow model Titanic is extremely detailed, which is the opposite of the design concept of the Academy’s Titanic plastic model. However, there was no such thing as “this cannot be assembled”.
