実艦解説

ハリバットはレギュラスを搭載した原子力潜水艦です。レギュラスは現代でいう巡航ミサイルで当時は有翼ミサイルと呼んでいたようです。

レギュラス搭載を前提として建造された潜水艦は二種類あり、最初の型がグレイバック型（同型艦グロウラー）、もう一つがこのハリバットです。グレイバックに比べればまだ実用的な形をしていますが、それでも浮上時しかレギュラスを発射できないので、水中発射できるポラリスが実用化されて急速に価値を失いました。

Halibut is a nuclear-powered submarine equipped with Regulus. Regulus is a modern cruise missile, and it seems that it was called a winged missile at that time.

There are two types of submarines built on the premise that they will be equipped with regulus. The first type is the grayback type (same type ship Growler), and the other is this halibut. Although it is still more practical than the Grayback, it can only fire regulus when it rises, so Polaris, which can be fired underwater, was put into practical use and quickly lost its value.

ハリバットは比較的短期間で攻撃型潜水艦に変更され、その後は特殊作戦用潜水艦として使用されました。

The halibut was transformed into an attack submarine in a relatively short period of time and was subsequently used as a special operations submarine.

キット紹介

ピットロードのコンバットサブというレジンキットのシリーズの１つです。既に古いキットですが、気泡などはほとんどなくレジンキットとしてはかなり出来の良い方だと思います。

問題はデカールでした。艦番号などは何とか使えたのですが、レギュラスに貼る国籍マークは黄ばんでいるわ、割れるは、印刷はずれているわの三重苦でした。マイクロスケールのリキッドデカールフィルムを使用した上で、面相筆でタッチアップしました。

It is one of a series of resin kits called Combat Sub on Pit Road. It’s already an old kit, but I think it’s a pretty good resin kit with almost no bubbles.

The problem was the decal. I managed to use the ship number, but the nationality mark on the regulus missile was broken. After using a microscale liquid decal film, I touched it up with a brush.

製作

離型剤を落とした上で表面処理、その後でボークスのサーフェイサーを吹いて下地としてからカーボンブラックマットとMrカラー331の塗装です。

After removing the mold release agent, surface treatment is performed, and then a Volks surfacer is blown to serve as a base, and then carbon black matte and Mr color 331 are applied.
