実艦解説
アメリカ海軍原子力ミサイル巡洋艦「ロングビーチ」は第二次大戦後にアメリカ海軍が初めて建造した巡洋艦です。
1961年に竣工し、何回かの改造を受けながら1995年に退役しました。最初は５インチ砲を装備しない純然たるミサイル艦でしたが1963年に5インチ砲を搭載しています。
The US Navy nuclear missile cruiser “Long Beach” was the first cruiser built by the US Navy after World War II.
She was completed in 1961 and retired in 1995 with several modifications. At first she was a pure missile ship without a 5-inch gun, but in 1963 she had a 5-inch gun.
キット紹介
このキットはフルハルモデル（喫水線で分割されてますが）なので、艦底板はプラ板で作ってWLモデルに変更しています。
Since this kit is a full hull model (although it is divided by the waterline), the bottom plate is made of plastic plate and changed to the WL model.
製作
設定時期的には1967年ごろです。
同梱のエッチングを使用し、汎用のエッチング手すりを取り付けています。
塗装はサーフェイサーグレー+サーフェイサーブラックを下地に行っています。

シャドウをいれてから、スミ入れとつや消しクリアーです。
The setting time is around 1967.
Using the included etching, a general-purpose etching handrail is attached.
Painting is done with surfacer gray + surfacer black as the base.

After adding the shadow, it is clear with a stain and a matte finish.
