全体を研摩して合わせ目などを消してから消えたスジ彫りを再生しました。

I polished the whole and erased the seams etc., and then recreated the streaks that had disappeared.

全体を400番で研磨

全体を400番で研磨します。ヒケや合わせ目の処理を行います。

ここで一度洗浄します。

Polish the whole with #400. Sink marks and seams are processed.

Wash here once.

なぜ洗浄するかと言いますと、プラスチックの研磨粉が表面に残っているとスジボリのガイドテープが表面にうまく貼れないからです。

The reason for washing is that if there is plastic polishing powder left on the surface, the striped guide tape cannot stick well to the surface.

ガイドテープを貼ってからスジ彫りを行います。

After applying the guide tape, carve the streaks.

胴体下部機首側のスジ彫はほぼ消えたので彫りなおしました。ガイドテープを使いまくりましたが、気にしない。

この後全体を800番で研磨して表面処理を完了します。

The streaks on the nose side of the lower part of the fuselage almost disappeared, so I re-carved them. I used a lot of guide tape, but I don’t care.

After this, the entire surface is polished with #800 to complete the surface treatment.

アクシデント

このキットはキャラメルボックス型なのもあり、出し入れしている間に一部折れてしまったようです。これ位ならプラ棒で再生できそうなので、ちょっと安心。

This kit has a caramel box type, and it seems that part of it broke while I was putting it in and taking it out. It seems like this can be made with a plastic stick, so it’s a little safe.
