If you want to make a 1/72 F/A-18E/F, this Academy kit is the one you should choose along with Hasegawa.
アカデミーの一番の特徴は接着剤要らずのスナップフィットであることです。アカデミーの1/72及び1/144はスナップフィットと接着剤が必要なキットが混在しています。
The best feature of Academy is that it is a snap fit that does not require adhesive. Academy’s 1/72 and 1/144 kits are a mix of snap-fit and adhesive kits.
最大の違いは主翼と胴体上部が一体であるかどうかです。ハセガワは主翼と胴体が分かれていますが、アカデミーは一体となっています。
The biggest difference is whether the main wing and upper fuselage are integrated. Hasegawa’s main wing and fuselage are separate, but the academy is integrated.
モールドはかなり細かいです。サーフェイサーを吹くと埋まりそうです。
The mold is quite detailed. It looks like it will fill up when you paint the surfacer.
ハセガワと好みが分かれるかな？という箇所は、ダクトの一部は開口がされていなかったりすることですかね。
The one thing that seems to differ between Hasegawa and me is that some of the ducts are not open.
水平尾翼は挟み込むタイプです。ハセガワはポリキャップが胴体側にあり差し込むタイプ。どちらが良いとかは言えないです。主翼下のハードポイントはかなり大きな穴ですから、クリーン状態にするには一手間かかりそうです。
The horizontal stabilizer is a pinch type. Hasegawa has a polycap on the body side that you can insert. I can’t say which one is better. The hard point under the main wing is a fairly large hole, so it will take some effort to clean it up.
最大の特徴がこれ、胴体下部は一体成型。これは有難い！
なお主脚カバーは実機と取り付け方法が違いますが、1/72で作りやすさ優先なら、合理的な方法だと思います

The installation method for the main landing gear cover is different from the actual aircraft, but I think it is a reasonable method if the priority is ease of production in 1/72.
インテイクの縁はハセガワより厚め。シャープに見せたいなら削り込んだ方が良い箇所です。
The intake rim is thicker than Hasegawa. If you want it to look sharp, it’s a good idea to cut it down.
機首の下部も一体成型です。
The lower part of the nose is also molded in one piece.
インテイク内部や主脚の再現度はアカデミーが良い感じです。更に主脚を差し込む剛性感はアカデミーの方が上です。
Academy seems to have good reproduction of the intake interior and main landing gear. Furthermore, the Academy has a better feeling of rigidity when inserting the main landing gear.
一瞬AIM-120は？なりますが、ランナー中央上部がAIM-120です。装備する武装の自由度が低いといえば低いです。
機体のアウトラインも実は微妙に違います。
ではハセガワとアカデミーとどちらがおすすめか？
うーん・・・・・・一長一短ではありますが、
塗装しない、接着剤を使いたくないなら、アカデミー。
スジボリを彫りなおすなら、ハセガワ
で、それ以外なら、どちらも良いキットだと思います。
What about AIM-120? However, the upper center of the runner is AIM-120. The degree of freedom in equipping weapons is low.
The outline of the aircraft is also slightly different between Hasegawa and Academy.
So which one do you recommend, Hasegawa or Academy?
Hmm…there are pros and cons, but…
Academy if you don’t want to paint or use glue.
If you want to re-carve the streak carving, go to Hasegawa.
But other than that, I think both are good kits.
