何故九七式艦上攻撃機なのか？

珊瑚海海戦で偵察に出て未帰還となった菅野飛曹長機を飛行状態で制作します。
珊瑚海海戦の菅野機には思い入れがあります。

この菅野機の電信員は岸田清次郎兵曹、滋賀県　旧制膳所中学校、現在の膳所高校出身です。つまり私の先輩なんですね。

菅野機をご紹介します。

菅野機はアメリカ機動部隊を発見、位置を報告。帰還中に日本攻撃隊とすれ違いましたが、

「我　帰艦を止め味方攻撃隊を誘導す」

と打電し反転、日本攻撃隊をアメリカ機動部隊まで誘導しました。菅野機の残存燃料から考えて日本機動隊には戻れないと覚悟しての行動であったと思われます。

上の無電を打ったのも岸田清次郎兵曹なのです

We will produce the Sergeant Master Sergeant Kanno, who has not returned due to reconnaissance during the Battle of the Coral Sea, in flight.
I have a strong feeling for the Kanno aircraft in the Battle of the Coral Sea.

The telegrapher of this Kanno machine is from Seijiro Kishida, former Zeze Junior High School in Shiga Prefecture, and now Zeze High School. In other words, it’s my senior.

Sugano discovers the US MTF and reports its location. While he was returning, he passed the Japanese attack corps,

“I will stop returning to the ship and guide the ally attack corps.”

And turned around, guiding the Japanese attack corps to the American MTF. It seems that he knew that he could not return to the Japanese riot police, considering the remaining fuel of Kanno.

It was Seijiro Kishida who struck the above radiotelephone.

主要部

コクピット下部は主翼「上部」と一体です。もちろん、実機はこういう構造ではないのでしょうけれど、1/72での再現度と作りやすさを考えると実に合理的な方法だと思います。

主翼上部とコクピットが一体というのは余り記憶にない方法ですが、主翼の角度が決まりやすい事や胴体と主翼の接着面を考えると実に合理的ではないかと思います。

The lower part of the cockpit is integrated with the “upper part” of the main wing. Of course, the actual machine does not have such a structure, but I think that it is a really rational method considering the reproducibility at 1/72 and the ease of making.

It is a method that I do not remember so much that the upper part of the main wing and the cockpit are integrated, but I think that it is really rational considering that the angle of the main wing is easy to determine and the adhesive surface between the fuselage and the main wing.

モールドは深めでスジボリははっきりくっきり気味、少々表面を削ってもスジ彫りは消えないと思います。スミ入れに使う塗料はコントラストが低めにした方が良いと思います。

The mold is deep and the streaks are clearly sharp, and I think that the streak carving will not disappear even if the surface is scraped a little. I think it is better to use a low contrast paint for the stain.

細部パーツ

パイロットフィギュアが付属しています。菅野機を作るにはありがたいです。

Comes with a pilot figure.

主翼を折りたたんだ状態でも作れるようになっています。折りたたむ場合主翼を切断する方式です。

It can be made even when the main wing is folded. It is a method to cut the main wing when folding.

脚も飛行姿勢と着陸姿勢の両方が入っています。

The legs also have both flight and landing attitudes.

エンジンは1/72ならば十分な再現度だと思います。プロペラスピナーは有り無しが選べます。

If the engine is 1/72, I think it is sufficiently reproducible. You can choose with or without a propeller spinner.

爆弾関係とコクピット内部。菅野機では使わない爆弾類です。60kg爆弾×６、250㎏爆弾×１、800㎏通常爆弾×１、800㎏徹甲爆弾×１が入っています

Bomb-related and inside the cockpit. Bombs that are not used by Kanno aircraft. Contains 60 kg bombs x 6, 250 kg bombs x 1, 800 kg normal bombs x 1, 800 kg armor-piercing bombs x 1.

キャノピーは三種類、閉、開と、最後部のみ開（機銃を出している場合）入っています。

There are three types of canopies. Closed, open, and open only at the end (when the machine gun is out).

個人的に嬉しかったのが、この場所です。胴体に主翼を取り付けるというよりは主翼上面に胴体を取り付ける方式になっています。

I was personally pleased with this place. Rather than attaching the main wing to the fuselage, the fuselage is attached to the upper surface of the main wing.
