アオシマの1/700 イギリス海軍 重巡洋艦 コーンウォールのプラモデルの完成品です。レパルス用エッチングパーツとファインモールドのナノドレッドを使用してディテールアップを行いました。

実艦解説
カウンティ級重巡洋艦の一隻で、改装後に格納庫を装備しているのが特徴です。もう一隻格納庫を装備しているのがサフォークです。
コーンウォールは日本海軍のインド洋機動作戦中のセイロン沖海戦で、ドーセットシャーと共に日本海軍の急降下爆撃機の攻撃を受け沈没しました。
It is one of the county-class heavy cruisers and features a hangar after refurbishment. Besides Cornwall, she is equipped with a hangar in Suffolk.
She sank in Cornwall during the Japanese Navy’s Indian Ocean raid off the coast of Ceylon after being attacked by the Japanese Navy’s dive bomber along with Dorsetshire.

キット紹介
ケントのバリエーションキットで、格納庫が特徴になっています。手堅い設計のキットで超絶モールドというほどではありませんが、作りやすいキットです。
A Kent variation kit featuring a hangar. It’s a solid design kit, not a transcendental mold, but it’s easy to make.
製作・塗装
2020年5月時点でコーンウォール専用のエッチングは出ていませんので、レパルス用のエッチングを加工して使用しました。クレーンは若干小さいですが、うまく使えるエッチングがレパルス位しか思いつかなかったので、レパルス用を使用しました。
As of May 2020, there is no etching for Cornwall, so I used it after processing the etching for Repulse. The crane is a little small, but I could only think of a good etching for the Repulse, so I used it for the Repulse.
機銃関係はファインモールドのナノドレッドに変更しました。
塗装は甲板がMrカラー333、舷側などをMrカラー335にしました。沈没時の舷側の色はいくつか説があるのですが、退色して結果的にそうなったのか、元々そうなったのかよくわからないけれども「ミディアムシーグレー位に見える」という意見が多いようです。
The machine gun related has been changed to Fine Molds Nano Dread.
The deck was painted in Mr color 333, and the side was painted in Mr color 335. There are several theories about the color of the side at the time of sinking, but it seems that there are many opinions that “it looks like medium sea gray” although it is not clear whether it was the result of fading or it was originally.
