アオシマの1/700 イギリス海軍重巡洋艦ノーフォークのプラモデルの完成品です。ホワイトエンサインのエッチングパーツとファインモールドのナノドレッドシリーズの機銃を使用してディテールアップを行いました。
This is a completed plastic model of Aoshima’s 1/700 Royal Navy heavy cruiser Norfolk. Details have been improved using White Ensign’s etched parts and Fine Molds’ Nanodread series machine guns.
実艦解説
ケント級から始まるカウンティ級重巡洋艦の第三グループがドーセットシャーとノーフォークです。
ノーフォークはカウンティ級の中で最も活躍しています。初期にはビスマルクの捜索、中期以降は北極海での船団護衛に参加、そしてドイツ戦艦シャルンホルストを撃沈した北岬沖海戦にも参加しています。
The third group of county-class heavy cruisers, starting with Kent, are Dorsetshire and Norfolk.
Norfolk is the most active in the county class. She has been involved in the search for Bismarck in the early days, in the fleet escort in the Arctic Ocean since the middle, and in the Battle of the North Cape, which sank the German battleship Scharnhorst. Kit commentary
キット解説
アオシマのキットです。ドーセットシャーからの使いまわしパーツは一部で、ほぼ新規になっています。今回のノーフォークのキットは北岬沖海戦時1943年後半のものです。アオシマからノーフォークはNo809でもう一つ出ています。No.809はカタパルトを装備している1943年前半の姿です。
Aoshima’s kit. Some of the reusable parts from Dorsetshire are almost new. This Norfolk kit is from the latter half of 1943 during the Battle of the North Cape. Another Norfolk from Aoshima is No809. No.809 is the figure of the first half of 1943 equipped with a catapult.
ある程度色分けがされており、無塗装でも見栄えがします。キットにはレーダーのエッチングが付属しています。
It is color-coded to some extent and looks great even without painting. The kit comes with radar etching.

制作
制作時点でアオシマからは専用エッチングは別売されていなかったので、ホワイトエンサインのカウンティ級用のエッチングを使用しました。機銃関係はファインモールドのナノドレッドに換装しています。
At the time of production, Aoshima did not sell the special etching separately, so I used the white ensign county-class etching. The machine gun is replaced with a fine mold nano dread.
後日アオシマからノーフォーク用エッチングパーツが発売になりました。
Etching parts for Norfolk were released by Aoshima at a later date.
