アオシマの1/700 イギリス海軍重巡洋艦エクセターの完成品です。専用のディテールアップパーツセットとファインモールドのナノドレッドを使用してディテールアップを行いました。
This is a finished product of Aoshima’s 1/700 Royal Navy heavy cruiser Exeter. Detail up We used a special detail up parts set and a fine mold nano dread to improve the detail.
実艦解説
８インチ砲を搭載する重巡洋艦ですがカウンティ級よりも小型で装甲も運動性（出力重量比という点で）もカウンティ級よりもで優れた艦ですが、８インチ砲は６門でカウンティ級よりも２門少なくなっています。
イギリス海軍の重巡洋艦の中ではもっとも奮戦した重巡洋艦の一隻で、ラプラタ沖海戦でシュペーからの命中弾を受けながら沈没せず。修理完成後は大西洋で活動後極東に回航され、スラバヤ沖海戦で日本艦隊と交戦、８インチ砲の直撃を受け後退中に妙高型４隻の攻撃を受け沈没しました。
Although it is a heavy cruiser equipped with an 8-inch gun, it is smaller than the county class and has better armor and mobility (in terms of power-to-weight ratio) than the county class. The 8-inch gun has 6 guns, 2 less than the county class.
One of the most strenuous heavy cruisers of the Royal Navy, it did not sink while receiving a hit from Spee during the Battle of the River Plate. After she completed the repairs, she was active in the Atlantic Ocean and after she was circulated to the Far East, she fought the Japanese fleet in the Battle of the Java Sea. She was hit directly by an 8-inch gun, and while she was retreating, she was attacked by four Myoko-type ships and sank.
キット紹介
アオシマが2018年に発売したキットです。とても作りやすくディテールにも優れた好キットです。甲板は木甲板色に整形されており、無塗装でも見栄えのするプラモデルです
This kit was released by Aoshima in 2018. It is a good kit that is very easy to make and has excellent details. The deck is shaped in the color of the wooden deck, and it is a plastic model that looks good even without painting.
制作
煙突周りはジャッキステーのモールドは削り落とした上でワイヤーを展開してみました。舷窓は最終時としては多すぎるので下段を一部閉鎖しました。
Around the chimney, I scraped off the jack stay mold and unfolded the wire. Since there are too many portholes for the final time, we closed a part of the lower tier.
ポンポン砲はフライホークのものです。20mmエリコンはナノドレッドを使用しています。
エクセターの極東での写真を見ると、高角砲の間に棒状のものがあるのが確認できます。それまで舷側にあった繋船桁が恐らくここに置かれていたのだろうと考えます。アオシマのキットでもこの高角砲の間の棒がパーツ化されているので、このパーツを使うなら舷側の繋留桁のモールドは必要ないだろうという事で削り落としました。
The pompon cannon is from Flyhawk. 20mm Oerlikon uses nanodread.
If you look at the photo of Exeter in the Far East, you can see that there is a rod-shaped object between the high-angle guns. I think that the connecting girder that was on the side until then was probably placed here. Even in Aoshima’s kit, the rod between the anti-aircraft guns is made into parts, so if you use this part, you will not need the mold of the mooring girder on the side, so I scraped it off.
塗装
舷側などのミディアムグレーをＭｒカラー335、甲板はＭｒカラー３３１です。
Medium gray on the side is Mr color 335, and the deck is Mr color 331.
