CMR　1/72 ウェストランド　ウェルキンNF MK2　キット紹介

パーツを紛失したのか元々入っていなかったのか定かでないのですが、コクピットのレーダー計器とキャノピーを除くクリアパーツが見当たらなかったので、タミヤの1/72　モスキートNFを入手してレーダー計器をウェルキンに流用しました。

I’m not sure if the parts were lost or not originally included, but I couldn’t find any clear parts except the canopy and the cockpit radar instrument. I got Tamiya’s 1/72 Mosquito NF and diverted the radar instrument to Welkin.

シートベルトもモスキートのデカールを使用しました。

I also used mosquito decals for the seat belts.

レジンキットなので、ノコギリ系で切り離す必要がある箇所もあります。

Since it is a resin kit, there are some parts that need to be separated with a saw system.

エンジンナセル外側の円形のくぼみは気泡かと思ったのですが、左右共に全く同じ場所ありますし、実機写真をみるとどうも穴なのかランプなのか分かりませんが、凹みはありそうなので残すことにしました。

I thought that the circular dent on the outside of the engine nacelle was a bubble, but there are exactly the same places on the left and right, and I do not know if it is a hole or a lamp from the actual machine photo, but I left it because there seems to be a dent.

凹モールドが薄めなのでラインチゼルで全体を彫りなおします。

Since the concave mold is thin, re-engrave the whole with a line chisel.

接着して形になりました。アスペクト比の高い主翼が高空用の機体だなと実感します。ウェルキンってモスキート位の大きさの気持ちでいたのですが、全長はモスキートより短いのにウイングスパンははるかに長いです。調べてみると一式陸攻より全幅が大きく、B-25に近いです。1/72の模型なのに1/48の単座戦闘機の大きさです。

It was glued into the shape of an airplane. I feel that the main wing with a high aspect ratio is an aircraft for high altitude. I felt that Welkin was about the size of a mosquito, but the overall length is shorter than the mosquito, but the wing span is much longer. When I looked it up, it was wider than the set land attack and was close to the B-25. Although it is a 1/72 model, it is the size of a 1/48 single-seat fighter.

全体をサンディングしました。この後洗浄と塗装工程です。
