実機解説
1930年代半ばに開発されたイギリスの戦闘機です。スピットファイアと同じロールスロイスマーリンエンジンを搭載していましたが、スピットファイアと異なり鋼管＆羽布張りという保守的な機体でした。スピットファイアよりも保守的でしたが、その部既存の生産ラインを流用できるというメリットがありました。
バトル・オブ・ブリテンではスピットファイアと共に奮戦しました。スピットファイアがbf-109を足止めしている間に、ハリケーンが爆撃隊を攻撃しました。
A British fighter developed in the mid-1930s. It was equipped with the same Rolls-Royce Merlin engine as the Spitfire, but unlike the Spitfire, it was a conservative aircraft with steel pipes and feather fabric. It was more conservative than the Spitfire, but it had the advantage of being able to reuse existing production lines.
In the Battle of Britain, he fought alongside the Spitfire against the German army. A hurricane attacked the bomber squad while a Spitfire was holding the bf-109 down.
