実艦解説
天城型巡洋戦艦は日本海軍が計画した八八艦隊の中で、「長門」型戦艦と「加賀」型戦艦についで建造した巡洋戦艦です。加賀型と同じ41センチ砲10門を装備し、30ノットの快速となる巡洋戦艦でした。
軍縮条約により、巡洋戦艦としては建造が中止されますが、二番艦の「赤城」と共に航空母艦に改装する事になりました。しかし、関東大震災により空母として建造中の「天城」が被害を受け、完成を断念、代わりに「加賀」が空母に改装される事になりました。
The Amagi-class battle cruiser is a battle cruiser built after the “Nagato” and “Kaga” battleships in the Eight-eight fleet planned by the Japanese Navy. Equipped with 10 41 cm cannons, the same as the Kaga type, it was a battle cruiser with a high speed of 30 knots.
Due to the Disarmament Treaty, construction as a battle cruiser will be canceled, but it will be remodeled into an aircraft carrier along with the second ship “Akagi”. However, due to the Great Kanto Earthquake, “Amagi” under construction as an aircraft carrier was damaged, and the completion was abandoned, and “Kaga” was remodeled into an aircraft carrier instead.
キット紹介
設定年代も関係しますが、実にスマートでシンプルな巡洋戦艦の姿となっていると思います。全体にパーツ点数も抑え目です。
It depends on the setting age, but I think it looks like a really smart and simple battle cruiser. The number of parts is also low as a whole.
製作・塗装
木製甲板の扱いは若干注意が必要なので、甲板は塗装の方が簡単かもしれません。2021年に塗装仕上げをした天城は

「天城」用のエッチングパーツと木製甲板を使用しています、木製甲板はそのままでは使えないので若干切り貼りして使っています。
サーフェイサーグレー＋ブラックを下地に軍艦色２で、スモークグレーでシャドウを入れています。最後に空中線を張っています。

I use the etched parts for “Amagi” and the wooden deck. The wooden deck cannot be used as it is, so I cut and paste it a little.
The surfacer gray + black is used as the base, and the warship color is 2, and the shadow is added with smoke gray. Finally, I have an antenna.
