前回の船体塗装に引き続き主要部の組立塗装を行います。
Continuing from the previous hull painting, we will assemble and paint the main parts.
気泡処理
構造物には最近のレジンキットではまず見ないタイプの気泡が入っていました。
The structure contained bubbles of a type rarely seen in recent resin kits.
色合いがチーズに似ているのもありますが、トムとジェリーに出てくるようなチーズみたいです。もう気泡というレベルでもないんですが、瞬着をちょっとづつ盛っては硬化させてを繰り返し、更にやすりをかけて仕上げました。このレベルの気泡が5カ所位ありました。
The color is similar to cheese, like the cheese that appears in Tom and Jerry. It’s not at the level of air bubbles anymore, but I applied a little bit of flashing and hardened it repeatedly, and then sanded it to finish it. There were about 5 bubbles of this level.
ここはどうしても隙間が出るので、瞬着で埋めてからサンディングして再度整形しました。
There is a gap here, so I filled it with instant adhesive, sanded it, and reshaped it.
エッチングの一部などをとりつけて、大半の塗装工作が完了です。
I attached a part of the etching. Most of the painting work has been completed.
武装関係
主砲は塗装まで進めていました
The main gun was painting
砲身パーツが左が４本、右が２本という仕様。差によく見ると一番下の主砲砲塔の突起モールドがちょっとおかしいですね。
どうしようかと頭を抱えたのですが、副砲砲塔パーツを使うタミヤのレパルスのパーツを見てみました。大きな声では言えないけれど、リベットの位置から寸法からタミヤのこのキットの主砲は瓜二つ。一部タミヤのパーツを使用することにました。
The specifications are that there are 4 barrel parts on the left and 2 on the right. If you look closely at the difference, the protrusion mold on the bottom main turret is a little strange.
I was wondering what to do, but I looked at Tamiya’s Repulse parts that use sub gun turret parts. I can’t say it in a loud voice, but from the position of the rivet to the dimensions, it is the same as the main gun of this kit of Tamiya. I decided to use some Tamiya parts.
不足パーツを更に発見
この個体には副砲の三連装砲塔パーツがなかったと書いていたのですが、よく見ると単装もありません、更にはどうも甲板の装備品の一部も足りません。
単装砲はフッドなどとも違うので、かなり困りました。そこで砲自体はほぼ同じタミヤのヴァンパイアの主砲を一部加工して使用することにします。
I wrote that this individual did not have the triple turret parts of the secondary armament, but if you look closely, there is no single turret, and some of the equipment on the deck is also missing.
The single gun is different from the hood, so I was in a lot of trouble. Therefore, I decided to use a part of the main gun of Tamiya’s vampire, which is almost the same as the gun itself.
