航空母艦「赤城」に引き続き、巡洋戦艦の「天城」をスタートします。
Following the aircraft carrier “Akagi”, we will start the making of the battle cruiser “Amagi”.
天城型は元々八八艦隊の巡洋戦艦として計画建造されたもので、同型艦は「赤城」です。天城型はワシントン軍縮条約で巡洋戦艦としては建造が中止となり航空母艦に改造される事になりました。
The Amagi type was originally planned and built as a battle cruiser of the Eight-eight fleet, and the same type ship is “Akagi”. The Amagi type was canceled as a battle cruiser under the Washington Naval Treaty and will be converted into an aircraft carrier.
天城は関東大震災で損傷した為に、加賀が航空母艦に改装される事になりました。
Amagi was damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake, so Kaga was to be converted into an aircraft carrier.
最近の研究では天城は計画段階から集合煙突だったとも言われています。
Recent research suggests that Amagi was a collective chimney from the planning stage.
キットの中身を見てみましょう。一見した感想は「1パーツが大きい」「パーツ点数は少なめ」です。
Let’s take a look at the contents of the kit. At first glance, the impressions are “one part is large” and “the number of parts is small”.
舷側モールドも素晴らしいです
The side mold is also wonderful
巡洋戦艦としては完成しなかったので、甲板の艤装品類が少々寂しいのは仕方ないでしょう
It wasn’t completed as a battle cruiser, so it’s unavoidable that the deck equipment is a little lonely.
驚いたのはこれ、スライド金画を使用してパーツ点数を抑えています。
What surprised me was that I used a slide mold to reduce the number of parts.
側面にもモールドが入っています。
There is also a sculpture on the side.
煙突も１パーツ。こういうスライド金型の使い方はこのキットで初めてだったと記憶しています。
The chimney is also one part. I remember using this kit for the first time to use a slide mold for this part.
主砲砲身もスライド金型で開口されています
The main barrel is also opened with a slide mold
細部パーツは比較的少なめです。
There are relatively few small parts.
