スペシャルホビーの1/72　ミラージュⅢが日本国内でもまもなく発売予定です。既にスペシャルホビーのミラージュⅢも手元にあり、比べてみました。ランナー状態では甲乙つけがたいキットという印象です。まず2020年に発売されたモデルズビットのキットを紹介しようと思います。

なお、モデルズビットはオーストラリアのミラージュⅢOで、ミラージュⅢEを原型とした戦闘攻撃機型です。スペシャルホビーはミラージュ3Cの戦闘攻撃機型です。モデルズビットからもミラージュⅢCは発売されていますが、手元にないのでミラージュⅢOで比較することをお断りしておきます。

A special hobby 1/72 Mirage III will soon be released in Japan. I already have a special hobby Mirage III at hand, and compared it with Modelsvit.
In the runner state, both are impressive kits. First of all, I would like to introduce the Modelsvit kit released in 2020.

The Modelsvit is the Australian Mirage IIIO, a fighter-attack version based on the Mirage IIIE. Special Hobby is a fighter version of Mirage 3C. Models Bit also sells the Mirage IIIC, but I don’t have it at hand, so I won’t be able to compare it with the Mirage IIIO.

全体的な印象

・数年前のモデルズビットのキットよりも全体にシャープさが増している

・組みやすさよりも再現性重視で、1/72ではここまでやるとパーツの精度がファインモールドやタミヤやエデュアルド位高くないと組みにくいかもしれない

・8000円を超える価格だが、エッチングなどを考えるなら最近のファインモールドやスペシャルホビーに比べて極端に高い印象ではない

・The overall sharpness has increased compared to the Modelsbit kit from a few years ago.

・Reproducibility is more important than ease of assembly, and it may be difficult to assemble in 1/72 unless the accuracy of the parts is as high as Fine Mold, Tamiya, or Eduard.

・The price is more than 8000 yen, but if you think about etching etc., it doesn’t give an extremely high impression compared to recent fine molds and special hobbies.

胴体ランナー

参考までにミラージュⅢCではモデルズビットでも機首まで１パーツ構成です。

For reference, the Mirage IIIC is composed of one part up to the nose even with Models Bit.

シャープなスジ彫りと部分的に凸モールドになっています。

It has sharp streaks and a partially convex mold.

コクピット内はかなり細かい表現です。

The inside of the cockpit is quite detailed.

胴体下面パーツ

マトラ530は胴体下部パーツに含まれています。

エレボンは下状態でも作る事ができます。脚庫は箱組で垂直面のモールドもあります。

Matra 530 is included in the lower fuselage part.

Elevons can also be made in the down state. There is also a vertical surface mold in the box structure.

胴体下面もシャープなモールドです。

The underside of the fuselage is also a sharp mold.

ほんの数年前までモデルズビットの印象は

アウトライン主要パーツ=シャープで組みやすい

細部パーツ=アウトラインパーツよりも一段落ちる。それも対流式食器乾燥機（ドライブース）程度の熱で変形する

というものでしたが、全パーツがアウトラインパーツと同じ水準のシャープさになっているようです

Until just a few years ago, my impression of Modelsvit was

Outline main parts = Sharp and easy to assemble

Detail parts = one step lower than outline parts. It also deforms with the heat of a convection type dish dryer (dry booth)

However, it seems that all parts have the same level of sharpness as the outline parts.

モデルズビット　1/72 Ye-166　MODELSVIST

エンジンと機首など

オーストラリアやスイスではマトラマジックではなく、サイドワインダーを使用していました。サイドワインダーのパーツが入っています。フランス仕様などの機体にはマトラマジックのパーツが含まれています。

Australia and Switzerland used Sidewinders instead of Matra Magic. Contains parts for Sidewinder. Airframes such as those with French specifications contain Matra Magic parts.

透明度は高いのですが、表面に若干の歪みが感じられます

Transparency is high, but some distortion is felt on the surface

マスキングシートとエッチングパーツが含まれています。

Masking sheets and etched parts are included.

価格

2020年の段階では6000円位だったと記憶していますが、2022年11月時点でメーカー希望小売価格は8580円となっています。

I remember that it was around 6000 yen in 2020, but as of November 2022, the manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 8580 yen.
