実船解説

日本陸軍が開発した揚陸艦「神洲丸」の発展型として建造されました。建造当時から飛行甲板とエレベーターを持ち航空機を発進させる能力を持っていました。太平洋戦争中航空機運用能力を評価され、より航空機運用に特化する改造を受け、ほぼ航空母艦に近い形状となりました。

対潜哨戒機して三式連絡機を搭載し輸送船団護衛任務に就きましたが、潜水艦からの雷撃を受け沈没しました。

It was built as an advanced version of the amphibious assault ship “Shinsyu Maru” developed by the Japanese Army. Akitsu Maru had a flight deck and an elevator from the time of her construction and had the ability to launch an aircraft. During the Pacific War, she was evaluated for her ability to operate aircraft and underwent modifications that were more specialized in aircraft operations, resulting in a shape similar to that of an aircraft carrier.

She was an anti-submarine patrol aircraft, equipped with a Type 3　Liaison aircraft, and took on a convoy escort mission, but was sunk by a lightning strike from a submarine.

キットでは三式連絡機だけでなくカ号も取り付けるようになっています。あきつ丸後期型の状態で。三式連絡機と同時にカ号が運用されたわけではないので、三式連絡機をメインにカ号は連絡機という設定で載せてみました。

In the kit, not only the　Type 3　Liaison aircraft、but also the Ka-go is attached. In the state of the Akitsu Maru late model, the Ka-go was not operated at the same time as the Type 3　Liaison aircraft, so I tried to put the Ka-go mainly on the Type 3　Liaison aircraft

手すりとラッタルは汎用エッチングを使用しました。マストは真鍮線で作りました。

Railings and rattals used general purpose etching. The mast was made of brass wire.
