実艦解説
第二次世界大戦でアメリカ海軍は日本海軍水雷戦隊と日本巡洋艦部隊と交戦し、多大な被害を受けました。そこで日本海軍の巡洋艦部隊を確実に撃破できる方法として、自動装填機構の8インチ砲という恐ろしい兵器を生み出しました。この8インチ砲の発射速度は毎分10発という何とも恐ろしいものになっています。
この8インチ砲を装備したのが、このデモイン級重巡洋艦です。重巡洋艦とはいえ、基準排水量1万7000トン以上という大型艦です。
-In World War II, the US Navy fought with the Japanese Navy Torpedo Squadron and the Japanese Cruiser Force and suffered great damage. Therefore, as a way to reliably destroy the Japanese Navy’s cruiser force, we created a terrifying weapon called an 8-inch gun with an auto-loading mechanism. This 8-inch cannon has a rate of fire of 10 rounds per minute, which is a terrifying rate.
The Des Moines-class heavy cruiser was equipped with this 8-inch gun. Although it is a heavy cruiser, it is a large ship with a standard displacement of 17,000 tons or more.

デラックス版に付属のエッチングパーツと真鍮挽物パーツを使用しました。
舷側色 Mr.カラー308
デッキブルー Mr.カラー333
艦底色 艦底色+ブライトレッド
最後に空中線を張り、スーパースムースクリアーを塗装しました。
I used the photo-etched parts and brass parts that came with the deluxe version.
Ship side color Mr. Color 308
Deck blue Mr. color 333
Ship bottom color Ship bottom color + bright red
Finally, I attached the antenna and painted the super smooth clear.
